As the description indicates, these *are* lightweight. Given the low cost and plastic reinforced Styrofoam construction, I'm guessing, won't last very long. Which is OK considering they were basically a complimentary "gimme" with my compression shorts. IMO, I wouldn't buy this cup separately, and consider it a consumable item (like perhaps a Styrofoam coffee cup.) I should also mention that the "adult" size is.....um.....hardly adequate, in that capacity.

This is the lightest cup I have ever worn. The bulit in pocket holds keeps the cup from moving around. Been hit twice on ground balls and couldnt fell either one.
